Hi, colleagues and friends! I am Charley Firestone, a Post Award Project Specialist III in the Office of Sponsored Programs within the Office of Research and Innovation. After earning my Bachelor's of Arts degree at the University in 2009, I returned to start my career in 2014 as an Office Associate in the Department of Statistics. My love for Nebraska has only grown since then, along with my passion for making the University a great place to work. Having worked in IANR's Business Center's as well as the Finance & Personnel office, has allowed me to view processes with broad and unique perspective. I believe I would be valuable member of the Staff Senate simply because I want to make a difference for staff, who are so important, but often overlooked.
