I have been actively involved in staff and student advocacy through various leadership roles, including serving on the All-Staff Conference Steering Committee, the IANR Staff Council, and as co-chair of the Graduate Student Association. In these roles, I have led initiatives to improve communication, recognition, and support for both students and staff.
With experience in research coordination and professional organizations, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges staff face across departments. As higher education undergoes significant changes due to shifting federal and state policies, it is more important than ever for staff to have a strong voice in shaping the future. Advocating for policies that not only strengthen the institution but also create an environment where staff, students, and faculty can thrive is essential.
I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace, ensuring all staff voices are heard, and driving meaningful policy improvements. Serving on the Staff Senate would allow me to continue working toward positive change and greater recognition of staff contributions.
