As I approach my 10th year at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, I have had the privilege of serving on numerous university-appointed committees, the Student Affairs Staff Council, hiring panels, and leadership academies, as well as being an active member of the university’s Homecoming committee. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of our evolving campus landscape and the crucial role staff engagement plays in retaining top talent. I bring a creative and unconventional approach to problem-solving—one that embraces strategically developed innovation and a willingness to ask challenging questions. I believe my direct approach can strengthen the Staff Senate and serve the individuals I would represent.
It is inevitable that there are future changes to our university, and as these adaptations roll out, it is the staff's senates responsibility to remain calm, thoughtful, and forward-thinking—for both our peers and the students we serve. Furthermore, as we navigate UNL’s upcoming financial realignments, I am committed to being a steady, supportive voice for staff. If elected, I will work to uphold the purpose of the UNL Staff Senate: advocating for staff welfare and development, fostering open dialogue, and contributing to institutional policies that enhance our workplace. No matter the challenges ahead, I want every staff member to know—we will get through this together.
I would be honored to have your support.
