At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I have spent my 10+ year career supporting research, financial management, and staff advocacy. I currently serve as Assistant Director of the Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication, Chair of the Staff Council for the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women, and a member of the Chancellor’s Commission for Gender and Sexual Identity. In these roles, I have collaborated with faculty and staff across the NU system to foster a supportive and engaging work environment. As a member of the Staff Senate Exploratory Committee, I helped lay the foundation for the Staff Senate to ensure staff have a stronger voice in university decision-making. In addition to my work at UNL, I have served in leadership roles in our greater community including as a member of the board of directors for 89.3 KZUM, Lincoln’s community radio station, since 2015. With extensive experience in research development, funding strategy, event planning, and community advocacy, I am passionate about fostering a workplace culture that values staff contributions and enhances professional growth. I am excited for the opportunity to serve on the UNL Staff Senate and advocate for policies that support work-life balance, career advancement, and overall staff well-being.
