Mel Sedlacek is an Office Associate in the Department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she also serves as a Campus Coordinator for IDEA, an online consortium UNL participates in. Mel works closely with staff from other universities and collaborates with colleagues across different departments at UNL, giving her a broad perspective on staff experiences and needs. As a member of both the IANR Staff Council and CEHS Staff Council, Mel is dedicated to advocating for staff voices, fostering professional development, and creating a positive work environment. She looks forward to bringing her experience, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm to the UNL Staff Senate to help drive meaningful improvements for university employees.
