Bureau of Business Research
Dr. Mitch Herian currently serves as Project Director at the Bureau of Business Research in the College of Business. He received his Ph.D. from UNL in 2008 and worked for the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center from 2008 to 2012. From 2012 to 2017, Dr. Herian worked for private industry conducting research for various federal agencies while maintaining a research and teaching affiliation with UNL. In 2017, he began his work with the Bureau. At the Bureau, Dr. Herian conducts research on behalf of federal and state agencies, non-profits, and trade organizations. He also helps lead the Bureau Scholars program, a unique undergraduate research experience program for students at the College of Business. In his spare time, Mitch volunteers for the Millard North Jr. Mustangs football and basketball programs and has formerly served on his HOA board. By serving in the Staff Senate, Mitch hopes to contribute to the UNL community through participation in meaningful dialogue and decision-making opportunities.
