Job title: Emergency Management Director

Bio: I have served as the UNL Emergency Management Director since 2024. In my work I have prioritized outreach, training, and planning initiatives for emergency preparedness and safety projects to benefit the entirety of campus. Prior to UNL, I worked for federal, state, and local governments as well as nonprofit organizations to coordinate disaster response and recovery across Nebraska. I am running for staff senate to promote greater cross-campus collaboration and strategic direction, especially for campus safety planning. I also want to promote more opportunities for employee wellness and recognition at UNL. I hope the opportunity to serve on staff senate will increase collaboration and communication across campus as we navigate an uncertain future.
