Unit: Residence Life

Job Title: Student Leadership Coordinator

Bio: Driven by a deep commitment to shared governance and institutional excellence, Alexis works in Residence Life as a Student Leadership Coordinator, where she partners with student governments to elevate voices, strengthen systems, and create lasting, community-centered change. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that those closest to the work—students and staff—deserve a meaningful seat at the decision-making table. Prior to UNL, Alexis served as Arizona State University’s Student Body President, representing more than 142,000 students and stewarding a multi-million-dollar budget with transparency and accountability. She later became the first student in five years appointed as Student Trustee to the ASU Board of Trustees, gaining firsthand experience in enterprise governance, policy formation, and strategic oversight. Having also served as a liaison to the Arizona Board of Regents, Alexis understands how institutional decisions are shaped at both campus and state levels—and how essential it is to advocate boldly within those spaces. As a candidate for District 4 Staff Senate, she is committed to ensuring staff perspectives are not only heard, but actively integrated into university policy, resource allocation, and long-term planning. Alexis believes that investing in and empowering staff is fundamental to cultivating the environments that develop our future
