I foremost feel honored to have been nominated. In researching what being a senator would mean, I found it interesting in how it fits into the leadership and communications of the University of Nebraska. Staff personnel put forth a lot of effort to make it all happen. The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources alone has approximately 1200 staff members. I feel like the Staff Senate provides a voice to those who work behind the scenes.
