Working in finances at the library has helped deepen my understanding of the many challenges in higher-education funding and resource allocation that we currently face, and I am excited for the opportunity to bring this knowledge to Staff Senate. As a senator, I would strive to represent not only my fellow Office/Service peers, but all of UNL, in promoting transparency and in working to address the needs of all staff, especially the discrepancies between faculty, O/S, and M/P employees. As a life-long learner, my varied experiences have made me both flexible and creative in problem-solving, and I look forward to strengthening connections with other departments and the broader UNL community.
