Job Title: Assistant Director of Residence Life

Bio: Morgan McConnell currently serves as an Assistant Director for Residence Life at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and is seeking re-election to Staff Senate for a second term. In the past three years, during their first term, Morgan has been deeply engaged in shared governance, serving as a committee chair and holding two different roles on the Staff Senate Executive Team, with a focus on strengthening communication, recognition, and connection across staff communities. In their professional role, Morgan works closely with students and staff every day, which keeps them grounded in the real, day-to-day impacts of university policies and decisions. They are passionate about advocating for staff, building collaborative relationships across campus, and helping Staff Senate remain a visible, effective voice for employees. Morgan is running for a second term to continue this work, build on the momentum of the past year, and keep centering staff experiences in university conversations.
