Job Title: Academic Advisor

Bio: I am running for Staff Senate because I want to represent and advocate for the needs of staff in our academic colleges. I have worked at UNL for nearly 7.5 years - 3 in the Office of Admissions as a recruiter and 4.5 in the College of Engineering as an academic advisor. I was hired fresh out of undergrad (2018) to work in Admissions. My time in that office allowed me to create strong, lasting bonds with my colleagues and opened my eyes to the dedicated work staff provide to this university and our prospective students. Transitioning to the College of Engineering exposed me to the invaluable work staff provide directly to current students, faculty, and campus partners. Speaking specifically about my experience in engineering, the staff in this college are some of the hardest working people I have ever met - I see them as the backbone of this college. Engineering is the second largest college at UNL and represents incredible, hardworking, and devoted people. I would be grateful to be a voice for my colleagues in engineering and all other academic colleges. Thank you for your consideration!
