Zee Cronin joined the Department of Educational Psychology at UNL as an Office Associate in Fall 2023. Since then, Zee has actively engaged with the university community, participating in three NCLUDE groups, volunteering as a judge for the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences State Research Competition, joining AFIRE, and taking part in CEHS Staff Council trainings and functions. Prior to UNL, Zee spent five years as a stay-at-home parent caring for medically fragile twins. From 2013 to 2018, Zee worked at Northwestern University's Department of Theatre, while professionally stage managing at night, and maintained NU community engagement through The Women's Center. If elected to Staff Senate, Zee aims to: 

 

  1. Help provide staff and departmental stability with transparency during organizational transitions, including budget cuts and turbulent political climates. 

 

  1. Support staff as whole individuals balancing work and personal life, linking this approach to specific retention goals aligned with the Task Force on Workplace Culture and Engagement objectives. 

 

  1. Advance the Staff Senate’s mission of participation in the formulation of institutional policy and governance by providing insight from an office staff perspective which could directly help innovate or simplify daily and routine tasks.
