The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Staff Senate is hosting an educational opportunity for all university staff focused on civic engagement, voting practices, and legislative processes.

The event, "Beyond the Ballot: Civic Engagement & the 2026 Election," will take place Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Nebraska Union Regency Suite. The presentation will be provided by Civic Nebraska. With upcoming elections, this session is designed to provide university staff with helpful educational tools and a foundational understanding of state and national systems.

The External Affairs Committee of the UNL Staff Senate is charged with monitoring local, state, and federal government activities and analyzing legislative and non-legislative issues that impact university staff. In line with this mission, the committee actively connects staff members to essential tools and knowledge about the government systems that affect their professional and personal lives.
